Sara Tavares

Born in Lisbon, but with roots in the West African archipelago of Cape Verde, Sara Tavares is from a generation of children of this diaspora that we're hearing more and more from. Her sweet, swinging music with its supple, soulful vocals and guitar playing radiates a positivity that effortlessly jumps the language barrier. Sara returns to Southbank Centre following a sold-out London Jazz Festival concert last year.
