Living Colour, the legends, are back in full force. on 11 October this year they will be stopping by Oslo for a concert at Cosmopolite Concert Hall, to warm up the public as the autumn is giving way to winter in Norway.

Most of us remember the remarkable Living Colour, who have been on a hiatus since mid 90's and have now recouped with the release of CollideOscope. "The world is a 'collideoscope'" says Living Colour frontfigure Corey Glover to the renown music magazine "Rolling Stones". "Cultures clash, ideas clash. So we are colliding a lot of different things," adds Glover.

Living Colour concert is one of a series of concerts taking place at Cosmopolite Concert Hall this autumn. Others include the legendary Jimmy Smith Quintet, as well as João Bosco and Grupo Ashé de Cuba.

Jimmy Smith has been setting the standard for how the Hammond B-3 organ should be played in jaz for over 40 years with a distinctive style combining the soulful sounds of R&B with the more sophisticated vocabulary of bebop.

Originally a pianist, Smith took up the Hammond organ in 1951, formed his first trio in 1953 and acquired a formidable reputation in the Philadelphia area before making his acclaimed N.Y. debut at Cafe Bohemia in 1956. After a period of producing under Blue Note, Smith left for Verve in 1963 and toured extensively through the mid-1970's until moving to L.A. and opening Jimmy Smith's Jazz Super Club. Smith resumed touring in the early 1980's.
