Kilimanjaro Band
One of the longest surving bands in Tanzania, Kilimanjaro Band (Bana Njenje), celebrated 35 years in music business in Dar-es-Salaam this month. The band also announced plans to release their forthcoming CD in spring 2008.

Kilimanjaro Band troupe retreated to their camp for four months to work out new music as well as future plans. After years at the now demolished Njenje Plaza at Kinondoni in Dar-es-Salaam, the band has moved to the New Msasani Club where they have commenced their popular weekly live shows.

The next CD will be their third after Kinyaunyau and Gere.
