Reggae on The River Festival at Humboldt County. The 22nd Reggae on The River Festival will take place from 5th to 7th at Humboldt County, north California. The Festival, one of the biggest of its kind, offers an impressive list of reggae artists. This year's lineup include reggae heavyweights like Maxi Priest, Buju Banton, Alpha Blondi, Tonny Rebel and Junior Reid.

Others on the list are Queen Ifrika, Prezident Brown, the Senegalese rappers Daara J, Damian Marley and Transglobal Underground.

Reggae on The River Festival, ROTR, began more than 20 yeas ago as a fundraising concert to rebuild the Mateel Community Center after it was burned by an arsonist in 1984. The unfolding story is a celebration of love, unity and community. It shows how powerful grassroots economic development can be when forward thinkingpeople come together to form a collective consciousness. Each year, thousands of people from all corners of the globe make the pilgrimage to the Eel River to connect spiritually with old friends and make new ones. Throughout the years, thousands of world-class performers representing all genres of reggae and world music have performed at Reggae on the River since the festival began its conscious musical legacy.
