Ras Nas, Dj Roar Lund and Kristin Kjervold at Dokkhuset in Trondheim NorwayRas Nas aka Nasibu appears at Dokkhuset in Trondheim , Norway, Friday 12th December to give the massive a full dose of reggae and African music. “The night will be hot and the snow will surely melt” assures the organizers of the show. Two of Trondheim’s top DJs, DJ Roar Lund and Dj Kristin Kjervold will also be present, spinning an exciting mix of roots, dancehall and lovers rock. The arrangement is brought to you by Etnoforum in cooperation with Kongoi Productions.

Ras Nas’ line up this special night includes musicians from Congo Brazzaville, Ivory Coast and Sweden. This is the first Ras Nas live performance in Trondheim, a city in mid-Norway and the anticipation is high. Ras Nas' latest CD “Dar-es-Salaam”, containing a cocktail of reggae and African music sprinkled with poetry has received rave reviews both at home and abroad. Recently, Ras Nas was featured on BBC ‘The Beat’ (now The Strands) program by popular presenter Mark Coles.

Ras Nas, originally from Tanzania, is a musician and poet who writes his lyrics in both Swahili and English. Music critics have described him as one of the best acts to come out of Norway in recent years.

Among Ras Nas’ merits is sharing the stage with artists like Lou Reed, Van Morrison, Bob Dylan, reggae star Luciano and poet Linton Kwesi Johnson.
