Prolific Dancehall artist, G-Maffiah, is in the US on an extensive promotional tour. Working to promote his recently recorded single, “Hate Me Or You Don’t”, G-Maffiah has been making appearances on several mainstream radio stations such as Atlanta’s Xclusive Radio, Blazin’ 98FM. Sitting down to speak with show host Rico Vibes on New Music Tuesday, G-Maffiah answered questions regarding his career, and spoke directly to fans who called in.G-Maffiah heads to New York for additional radio promotion, and will be shooting his video for “Hate Me Or You Don’t”. When asked about his time so far in the US, G replied, “I’m Loving the work, and I’m Loving how the media and fans are treating me”! Background on G-Maffiah There are various ways to describe a Dancehall artist. Some are powerful in their delivery, energetic, explosive, and humorous. Others are poetic. G Maffiah has a little of all! Everyone who has experienced the lyrical prowess of this Artiste certainly agree. With a belief that he is destined to be a performer, G-Maffiah followed his dream, which led him to Dillon Reid of Manatee Records, who was impressed with his lyrical bravado. Recording two tracks entitled, “Money Haffi Mek” and “Saturday Night”, G later went on to work with other prominent Producers such as Ward 21, Jah Snow Cone, Lady G, Mickey John of Lion Paw Productions, Power Mix Records Entertainment out of New York, King Jammys and Kingston 6 Rekords/BYG Family Muzik. As an engaging songwriter, G has worked and written for popular artists Mr. Peppa, Macka Diamond, Queen Paula, Mad Anju, Lady G and Red Rose. G Maffiah has performed in places such as the Bahamas, Connecticut, New York, Orlando and New Jersey. He proved himself immensely when he displayed a stellar performance at Sting 2006, in Jamaica. Thankful to the creator for blessing him with the gift of music and voice, G continually strives towards his dream of being internationally renowned.
