Earthdance: The United Beats of Peace Festival will take place on September 16th, 17th, and 18th at the renowned Black Oak Ranch, HWY 101, Laytonville, California. The ranch is also home to many well known activists and artists, including Wavy Gravy’s Camp Winarainbow for children. For 2005, Earthdance and Black Oak will join forces to produce the most conscious festival of our time, according to a press release.
The 3 day camp out celebration for world peace and unity, Earthdance: The United Beats of Peace Festival, is set amidst a beautiful old growth oak forest, featuring 5 stages of entertainment and will bring together an unprecedented line-up of conscious musicians from many genres of the international music scene, including world, folk and jazz. Performing this year are: Ozomatli, Steve Kimok & Friends, Culture, Zap Mama, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Sound Tribe Sector 9, Lyrics Born, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Toshi Reagon, The African Showyboyz and Kan ‘Nal to name a few.
