MANTRA - Urban Jungle at MS Innvik, Oslo

Live reggae music, dance and performance poetry on Saturday 31st January in Oslo. Get ready for another dose of MANTRA, an urban-jungle night at MS Innvik in Oslo, Saturday 31st January 2009! This is the night where live music, dance and performance poetry will come together in a rare explosive session. The artists' lineup include Ras Nas, Kossa Diomande and the dancer Clave. In addition, DJ Arne Berg will spin a mix of everything, from Bongo Flava to roots reggae. "We are going to take the night to a higher level, make noise and wake up the town" promise the arrangers of the event, KonPro, Kongoi Productions. This is the fourth MANTRA arrangement in Oslo. The first MANTRA was arranged at Underground in Oslo last summer with the East African supreme R&B artist Ali Kiba from Tanzania among the headliners. All are welcome. About the artists: Ras Nas is a musician and poet from Tanzania. His six-piece band plays a mix of reggae and afropop. Kossa Diomande is an internationally acclaimed master drummer from Ivory Coast. Clave is a dancer and musician from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).   The show starts at 22.00 hrs. Cover charge is 80 Nkr,-. Supported by the Norwegian Arts Council .
