Gary St. Hilaire was born into music, surrounded by family actively writing, recording, and performing traditional Haitian Kompa. Born in Haiti, St. Hilaire started his first band, Hiroshima, at the age of 16 with a hard rock influence. By the age of 25 he was touring world wide with such established and respected Haitian bands as Skacha. St. Hilaire came to the US and continued expanding his musical experience working with SOB Records and Universal Records on various projects. St. Hilaire is a vibrant performer and a natural MC. His energy is contagious and having competed in and won many professional hip hop dance competitions throughout his career, he is completely comfortable on stage. St. Hilaire has also offered his musical talent to the commercial market, collaborating with advertising agencies including UniWorld Group, New York, and Lockhardt and Pettus, New York. His professional advertising experience includes writing, producing, vocals, and arrangement for an impressive list of national and international clients including Mitsubishi, Crysler, Jeep, Dodge, Pepsi, Coca Cola, Goya, Motorolla, Aquafina, Unicef, Western Union, McCormick, Good Year Tire, Behrmann Motors, Amex Courier, Pizza Hut, Soge Bank, Nutramet, Cola Couronne, and Barbancourt Rum. For the last 2 years St. Hilaire has been preparing to reenter the market with a fresh new fusion of hip hop, rap, jazz, and kompa.
