Perry Phillips was born in Nassau, Bahamas, where he began singing in local churches at the age of eight. Perry has gained early and valuable experience in the art of entertaining, being a part of a family of musicians and entertainers, (notably Perry's brother, singer/songwriter/actor, Johnny Kemp with the 1988 Billboard Top Ten Hit, Just Got Paid,covered on the Nsync CD No Strings Attached) Upon launching his secular career, Perry went on to perform throughout the Bahama Islands. His following travels as a singer and performer have included many major hotels and top nightclub venues throughout Florida, Atlanta, New York, Toronto, Dubai, Frankfurt, etc. Perry's experience as a performing artist also includes various radio and television appearances. Perry has had the food fortune to perform and collaborate with many talented and diverse musicians in Jazz, Gospel, R and B and World Music, while at the same time fine-tuning his entertainment skills. Perry says of his first CD:- "Actually the making of Love Effect (my first CD) was in part therapeutic, allowing me to vent the hybrid of music styles I have had the fortune of learning and playing. I feel there is so much more to come… So stay tuned, and many thanks". Perry has lived in Toronto, Canada working and writing with renown Canadian Juno Award winning producers Derek Brin of Fierce Music and Eddie Bullen of Thunderdome Sounds, resulting in his recent and first CD "Love Effect". The CD is released in Canada, USA, Germany and The Bahamas Islands. It includes six compositions of his own. Perry is now residing in Germany where he continues to write and perform.
