Necessary Intergalactic Cooperation, or simply NIC is the result of a fusion between two projects: Kanario the Intergalactic Dropout and Necessary. Some years passed in which they coorperated tightly and composed a number of tracks. The late addition of guitar player Chuck Frazier from Houston and drummer Ted Parsons from Boston have now given them a full band profile and has expanded their performing capabilities exponentially. NIC has elements of dub, technofunk, ethnic, housey jazz and rock. The band resides in Oslo, Norway. Listen to this intergalactic talk! "Programmer and keyboard player Kanario D'Bogart is an intergalactic dropout. When his spaceship was shot down here on Earth he quickly meshed into human society in order to survive. While he waits for spare parts for his ship, he has found a home and friends in Norway." Bass player Matti H. from Oslo is the other composer in NIC and founding member. Originally a guitar player for norwegian bands Horsemen and Kundalini, Matti has had several years break to explore electronic music and compose many tracks. Joining the ranks of Necessary Intergalactic Cooperation crew is drummer Ted Parsons from USA. Now residing in Oslo, Norway, Ted is a welcome addition to NIC. Having played drums for such noteworthy bands as Prong (founding member), Foetus, Goldflesh, Swans, Killing Joke, Teledubgnosis and Bill Laswell, Ted is no stranger to the art of groove. Guitarist Chuck Frazier was raised on a diet of cornbread, blues and punk. Also living in Oslo, Chuck has played with Reality Smak, Until December and Lesser of Two Evils in USA. Past bands from Oslo include Lost At Sea, Holy Toy, Two Niggers and a Honky, Bulldog and Ras Nas, to name but a few.
