Mo Some Big Noise fram Mozambique. Austrian trombonist Werner PuntigamThree musicians/dancers of Mozambique's young generation are at the centre of MO'SOME BIG NOISE, the newest music project of the Austrian trombonist Werner Puntigam. He formed a band, which combines rural and urban elements based on highly dynamic grooves (hiphop, drum 'n' bass and more) with an unconventional line up.

The sound of that ensemble is determined substantially by three timbilas, the traditional balafon-like instruments of the Chopi people of Southern Mozambique. Metchume Zango, Tinoca Zimba and Cheny Mahuaie Gune are all three also members of Timbila Muzimba, one of the most legendary groups in Mozambique. They play different sizes of timbila and percussions, but also sing and dance, and form with their timbila patterns a compact polyrhythmic sonority.

Mo'Some Big Noise are perfoming at Sauti Za Busara Music Festival in Zanzibar 2007
