 Hylton "The Whistler" BrownA Reggae Artist Hylton "The Whistler" Brown is a Jamaican born reggae singer, entertainer and enterpriser currently living in Bremen, Germany. Hylton's musical career spans from the early 80's in Jamaica when, among other things, he won several awards at the prestigious Jamaican Pop Variety Festival. He is a whistler, a man who whistles on the mic; a unique performance which has led to jurors to create a new category in their books called 'Novelty-Act-Whistling'
In the early 90's he moved to Europe where he continued to spread roots culture through successful live performances, writing and producing new songs in his roots-reggae-mix brand. Among his merits is performing as an opening act for the reggae poet Mutabaruka as well as Eric Donaldson. one of his CD's, "Come Rough" has reached high in the German charts. He has also performed in Canada and across the US at Reggae Ambassadors Worldwide (RAW) conferences from Wichita to Salt Lake City, Ashville to Michigan. Having settled between Bremen in Germany and Montego Bay in Jamaica,Hylton opened a cultural shop to introduce reggae music and Rastafarian culture to the massive. Hylton's main mission is to spread Rastafarian music and values. This he has done with dedication and consistency both on the German radio and television. He has his own series of movies "Movements of Rastaman" at the Offener Kanal, Bremen.
