The Reggae Summer Jam in Cologne - 7th to 10th July 2005

Gregory Isaacs, John Holt, Richie Spice, Alpha Blody and U-Roy are among the artists in this year's Summer Jam which will take place at the Fühlinger See in Cologne, Germany from 8th to 10th July. Others in the lineup include Groundation, Yellowman, Patrice, Culcha Candela and Sergent Garcia. Get ready!

The Summer Jam is the biggest Reggae festival in Europe and is being arranged by Contour Music Promotion. Since 1986 the Summer Jam has taken place in the beginning of July of each year, that is, in the beginning of the "hottest" part of the German summer and has presented all the top-acts of the international Reggae scene.

In the early years the Summer Jam Festival took place at the open-air-stage on top of the Loreley-Rock but in 1994 the organisers, Contour Music Promotion had to move the venue to the former US-Army airbase in Wildenrath before they found the current place.

Contour Music Promotion aims the goal to set up a program that includes all styles of todays Reggae-scene, Roots, Ragga, Dub, Jungle and other irie forms. Additionaly it is always part of the line-up to present bands from Africa or other parts of the world that demonstrate the Roots of Reggaemusic. Besides international superstars German and European Reggae bands also get the chance to perform on the big stage.
